Our functional medicine approach looks beyond the surface to find the true source of your child’s health concerns.

Functional Medicine Approach

At Rez Md we use a functional medicine approach to managing health concerns. Functional medicine is a science-based, personalized approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease. Unlike traditional medicine, which often treats symptoms in isolation, functional medicine considers the whole person, including their genetics, environment, and lifestyle.

For your child, this means we don’t just mask symptoms with medications; we dig deep to understand why these symptoms are happening in the first place. We look at everything from diet and nutrition to environmental factors and stressors, creating a comprehensive plan that’s tailored to their unique needs.

Healthy kids, happy families, thriving futures.

When standard advice leaves you confused, worn out, and wondering if your child will ever feel better, it’s time to dig deeper. By focusing on what’s really causing their health problems, you can help them heal, grow, and most importantly… get back to being the happy, healthy kid they’re meant to be!

Why Our Approach is Unique:

Personalized Care

Every child is unique, and so is their treatment plan. We take the time to understand your child’s specific needs, crafting a solution that works best for them.

Root Cause Focus

We don’t just treat the symptoms; we find and address the underlying issues causing your child’s discomfort, leading to long-term relief and better health.

Holistic Approach

We consider all aspects of your child’s health, including diet, environment, lifestyle, and even emotional well-being, to create a plan that supports their overall wellness.

Collaboration with Families

We work closely with you, the parents, to ensure that the treatment plan is practical, manageable, and effective for your child’s lifestyle.

Vanessa Archibald, FMACC, is a certified health coach at Rez MD. She received her certification through Functional Medicine Academy (FMA). She began working with Dr. Rezaei because she wanted to use the knowledge she gained from raising her sons and teaching to help others. Vanessa has always enjoyed working with children.

Prior to working for Dr. Rezaei and becoming a health coach, Vanessa was an elementary teacher for 9 years. She ended her teaching career when her special needs son, Isaac, was born. She chose to be a full-time homemaker so that she could care for Isaac and his older brother, Alex. She gained valuable experience dealing with medical and emotional challenges that a family would face caring for a special needs child. When Isaac passed away suddenly, Vanessa knew she wanted to work in an atmosphere where she could use her life experiences to help others. She accomplished that by becoming a health coach in Functional Medicine.

In Vanessa’s spare time, she enjoys motorcycle rides with Robert, her husband of 20+ years. She also enjoys watching Alex excel in cross country, track, and computer programming. When she isn’t riding or at meets, she likes to care for her plants and spend time with family and friends.

Testimonials

We consulted Dr. Rezaei for a second opinion regarding our chronically ill 2-year-old son. Her natural, functional medicine program discovered underlying issues, including gluten intolerance and mold toxicity. This approach allowed our son to heal without the recommended long-term medication. He is now a thriving 3-year-old, and we are forever grateful.

Jill S.

We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Rezaei's functional medicine approach. It completely transformed our younger son's health, resolving chronic body pain and severe GI issues and significantly boosting his energy. Our older son has now started the program for sleep issues and headaches. The family highly recommends Dr. Rezaei for her thorough care focused on healing from the inside out.

Sarah E.

We are forever grateful for Dr. Rezaei's expertise. Our family sought her help when our middle son was struggling with severe behavioral issues, emotional outbursts, poor sleep, and being underweight. Dr. Rezaei immediately understood our struggle, listened deeply, and ordered appropriate testing.

Rachel W.

A few months after our son turned one, we discovered he had over 20 food allergies, a shock to our family as we have no history of them. His allergies caused uncomfortable eczema, leading us to enroll him in Dr. Rezaei's functional medicine program, a doctor we've trusted with our two children since birth. Through a regimen of supplements to balance his gut, a special eczema cream, and an elimination diet, his itching slowly subsided after a few months. Our son, now 2.5 years old, is still on the program and is a happy, comfortable, and smart toddler, and we are incredibly grateful for Dr. Rezaei, her staff, and her program.

Sarah R.

I cannot adequately express our immense gratitude for Dr. Rezaei and her staff; this practice has been a true blessing for our family. While she has consistently helped me navigate my children's healthcare needs, making my role as a mother easier, her most profound impact came when my son began showing signs of autism about a year ago. We felt separate from his world, even when we were right next to him. Dr. Rezaei changed that. Today, my son talks to us, and we are firmly a part of his world. I am overcome with tears of joy and gratitude as I write this, forever thankful to have met the doctor who changed my son's life. Thank you, Dr. Rezaei.
